4. Visit the Sea Lions at La Jolla Cove
The La Jolla Cove is located across the water from La Jolla Shores. Its beauty and snorkeling reputation are reason enough to put La Jolla Cove on your San Diego bucket list. What really is exciting about La Jolla Cove are the common sun bathers, the sea lions. You can often see them swimming in the tide pools and close to the cove’s bluffs. Note that during the summer, parking is extremely hard to come by, so consider grabbing an Uber or Lyft to the beach.
